Fazakerley Henry 144

Hallmarked for London 1823.  Sponsor’s mark possibly Horatio Bartlett (Priestley).

A typed note accompanies the watch which reads

‘…have consulted with the watchmaker’s archive and we only have one H Fazakerley listed, who is a Henry Fazakerley, and was included in the archive through the discovery of an assessment for tax in 1825.  He is listed as a watchmaker, who had a house on ‘Dog Street’ in Prescot.’

The note is from the Local History Knowsley Museum Service Prescot Museum and is dated, in handwriting, ‘October 31st 2006’
