This is an open face 3/4 plate, centre seconds with a stop slide in the band. The case back and dome are hallmarked for Chester, date letter ‘n’, 1876. The case maker’s mark is ‘H.G’ (Hugh Green (Priestley)). The dome is also marked ‘5864’, the case back ’64’.
