The watch is open faced, key wind, fusee with an 18ct gold gold dial with floral motif in the centre. The 18ct gold case is hallmarked for London, date letter ‘S’ (1873), ‘AW’ (probably Alfred Wickes, Coventry (Priestley)). ‘1873’ is also inscribed on the dome. There are initials ‘JP’ inscribed on the back of the watch in dark blue.
